Assistant Professor Sara Mostafavi awarded CIFAR Artificial Intelligence Chair

Assistant Professor Sara Mostafavi has been awarded a Canada CIFAR Artificial Intelligence (CCAI) Chair!

CIFAR is the Canadian Institute for Advanced Research, funded by the federal government and various provincial governments, including BC. According to the guideline for the CCAI chairs program, "the intent is to recruit and retain leading AI researchers, and to increase the research and training capacity in Canada ... all CCAI Chairs (are) either established researchers of the highest calibre, or extremely promising early career researchers who will become research leaders."
